About the swim classes

The water environment has advantages physical properties for exercise, and it is an alternative and complementary tool to perform resistance training. Owing to the flotation component in water, the compressive forces in the joint articulations are weaker, and therefore, injuries and falls are minimal. For this particular reason, it is an ideal form of exercise for the obese, elderly, and patients with osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, or lower back pain as well as pregnant ladies. In addition, water is also an optimal environment for athletes performing jumps because impact forces are lower and peak concentric forces are higher than on dryland.
